WISDOM OF THE PRESENT MOMENT

The temple air hummed with the soft murmur of chanting voices, a gentle symphony that soothed Maya's soul. Sunlight streamed through intricate stained-glass windows, casting a kaleidoscope of colors across the worn marble floor. But Maya's world had shrunk to the deep red cover of the Bhagavad Gita resting on her lap.

With each turn of the page, she felt the pull towards Krishna intensify. His words, both playful and profound, resonated within her. He wasn't just a deity, but a captivating force, an embodiment of love and wisdom wrapped in irresistible charm.

Suddenly, a passage leaped from the text, piercing the veil of earthly time. "Fools grieve over the past and worry about the future," it seemed to say. "The wise live in the eternal now." A truth dawned on Maya. Time, with its cruel divisions of "good" and "bad", was a human construct, a mental trap. Krishna, however, existed beyond it all. His divine light remained constant, unaffected by the ebb and flow of days and years.

A liberating understanding washed over her. She didn't have to wait for some perfect future moment to experience joy. Krishna was here, now, in the gentle breeze caressing her face, in the vibrant colours swirling around her, in the rhythmic chanting that filled the air. The act of living, this very present moment, was the divine blessing.

A smile bloomed on her face, radiating outwards like ripples on a tranquil pond. Maya knew this wasn't a revelation just for her. This wisdom, this escape from the tyranny of time, could benefit so many. Sharing Krishna's message, helping others embark on a journey of faith and hope, became her mission.

Closing the Gita with reverence, Maya raised her voice, joining the chorus of chanting devotees. "Hare Krishna Hare Krishna," it flowed from her lips, a joyous melody of devotion. Every syllable resonated with the newfound understanding – Krishna wasn't confined to temples or scriptures. He was the very essence of existence, a divine presence woven into every atom, every soul. And Maya, bathed in the golden light of the temple, felt a surge of gratitude for the chance to share this truth, to help others step out of the prison of time and into the timeless embrace of the divine.
